Robert Tobias Rhode, 60, died Sunday afternoon at an Everett hospital following a short illness. He was born in Vancouver, Washington, January 26, 1883 and came to Everett in 1914. He was employed at the Everett Pacific Company. Surviving relatives are his widow, Mrs. Maude Rhode of 2221 Hoyt Ave., three sisters; Mrs. Annie Rosenholm of Portland, OR, Mrs Hannah R Helms of Portland OR, and Mrs. Louise Lee of Seattle. Funeral services will be announced later from the chaple of Challacombe and Fickel.

Blogger's note: I contacted the funeral chaple and they gave me a copy of the funeral record. I called the cemetery listed and learned that Toby's body was cremated and his ashes are in a niche there in the mausoleum. His wife, Maude, however, is not buried with him.
