Death of Joseph "Duane" Lewallen
























Joseph "Wayne" Lewallen
Former local resident Joseph "Wayne" Duane Lewallen, 60, of Sequim, Wash., died Aug. 28, 1992, in Port Angeles, Wash.

He was born Dec. 24, 1931, in Kelso. Mr. Lewallen grew up in Castle Rock. He served in the Navy from 1951-1953 and maried Alice M. Taylor on April 2, 1955.

He moved to Sekiu, Wash., in 1963, to Joyce, Wash., in 1971, adn to Sequim this year. Mr Lewallen was a logger.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Servivors include his wife, Alice Lewallen, at home; a daughter, Tina Farrington of Sequim; a son, Joseph Lewallen of Port Angeles, two sisters, Juanita Baugh of Sunnyside, Wash., and Greta Lampkin of Lynnwood, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 198-A Sequim-Dungeness Way, Sequim.
