I find Tobias using various names, spellings and dates throughout his documented life. Here is the list:1880 US census -- no mention
1883 Washington census -- age 1/12 Baby
1885 Washington census -- age 2 Toby
1887 Washington census --age 4 Tobias
1900 US census -- age 18 Toby
1908 Land patent -- Tobe Rhode
1910 US census --age 27 Toby (named as head of household though living with older siblings)
1913 marriage license -- Tobe Rhody married Maude Drake
1918 draft registration -- Robert Tobias Rhody born 1879 nearest relative is Maude Ruth Rhody
1920 US census -- age 38 Tobias Rhody and wife Maud (b KY)
1930 US census -- age 43 Robert Rhody and wife Maude (b KY)
1936 quit claim deed -- Tobias Rhode and wife, Maude Drake Rhode
1943 Jun 20 Washington state death certificate -- Robert Tobias Rhode calculated birthdate 27 Jan 1883
The death certificate found on FamilySearch names the wife as Maude; father is Herman Rhode; mother is Elizabeth Foote -- though according to Herman's marriage record, Elizabeth's maiden name was Ankert.
This is the house at 2221 Hoyt in Everett, named on the draft registration. Thank you to the current owner for the picture.

Hi; Thank you for posting so much of your research on Robert Tobias Rhody. I'm living in his old residence of 2221 Hoyt. I know the Rhodys were here from at least 1918 to 1930, but perhaps you can shed light on a wider date range. Do any incidental photos exist of Tobias or the property? Just curious about the folks you had the place before me.

Still working on my house history. Got it down to just a few small gaps. Do you have any more data on the 1936 Deed that you mentioned? I cannot seem to find any land records that old in the Washington Archives.
