Dearest Haywood.
Busy as the dickens yesterday so could not write you. Am in Ancient History class so please excuse the scrib, spelling, etc. I suppose you are getting tired of this old "Please excuse scrib, etc." Dad gave $50. to Ma of turkey money. Margaret just told me. I see where I can have a coat yet. also a pair of shoes, which I need badly. Well can't think of much to write about.
