From Haywood to Susie on Christmas Day

Castle Rock Wa.
Dec. 25, 1924.
Dear Susie and Baby,
Well Dear to-day is Christmas. and it sure has been a find day, as days go. i ate dinner over at Chambers. The Coons were there and we surehad a fine time. I hope you enjoyed a good time. How is J______? I sure miss her. Well Dear every day that goes now is a little closer to the time when you will be returning. I know you will hate to come home after being up there, where you could enjoy something, instead of being down here looking at my homely mug and the great northren box cars. Margaret was over and brought me some cranberries and pie. Dee gave me a pair of sox adn I guess I am having as good a time as the next. . .
